Hindley Wang is a freelance arts writer, translator, and curator from Shanghai, currently based in New York. 

She is a frequent contributor to Frieze, The Brooklyn Rail, Hyperallergic, The Art Newspaper China, LEAP, Sixty Inches from Center, and more. Her writing tends to the lyrical and the poetic, intricate with care and criticality.

She is also a bilingual host and live translator for art openings, press conferences, and academic lectures.

She has toured with artist Xu Bing for numerous lectures in the States, providing simultaneous translation, sans script.

Past events that she hosted and translated include “Bettina Pousttchi: World Time Clock”, Aurora Museum, Shanghai (2023); the California Studio Lecture, University of California, Davis (2022) ︎ ; Claflin Lecture, Vassar College, NY (2022); The Crow Museum of Art, Dallas(2022).

She is open to commission for art writing, curating, editing, live translation, written translation, and other creative collaborations.
